salvation Army Employee

doing the most good

Salvation Army Shelter cook, Latisha, saw the same sweet lady each day come by the kitchen at lunch and dinner.  Some days she would spend hours after lunch napping under a tree in a nearby lot or talking aloud to no one in particular.  The lady always kept to herself, quietly eating her meal in solitude.

Latisha decided to talk to her more and find out if she could help her, even in a small way.  She found out the woman needed clothing...and took her immediately to The Salvation Army Family Store to get her what she needed.  Now, Latisha and other Salvation Army employees are working on finding her permanant housing within another Salvation Army program, Bonanza Housing.

Way to Do the Most Good, Latisha!
